About Cirque du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil is a contemporary circus company founded in 1984 by street performers from Baie-Saint-Paul, in Charlevoix. Its shows blend acrobatics, music, costumes and theatre without animals, and tour the world from its headquarters in Montreal's Saint-Michel district.
Seeing a show is a special outing for families, couples and visitors, and tickets make a memorable gift. Montrealers often catch touring shows under the big top in the Old Port. Its home in Saint-Michel sits near the TOHU, part of the city's circus district. It is one of Quebec's most widely known cultural exports.
