About Audiokinetic
Audiokinetic is a Montreal company founded in 2000 that created Wwise, an interactive audio engine used to build the sound of many video games. Wwise lets sound designers make music and effects react to what happens on screen, from footsteps to changing soundtracks.
It is mostly of interest to game developers, sound designers and students looking at careers in game audio. If you play video games, there is a good chance you have heard its technology at work without knowing it. Montreal is a major video game city, and this company is an important piece of that story, focused on what players hear.
