Imagine having no choice but to flee your home. To have worked hard and built an entire life with friends, family, a home, a job… only to be forced out with nothing but what you can carry.

They deserve to live like us

Refugees are people like you and me who, through circumstances beyond their control, have been thrust into a life of great trauma, insecurity and fear. No one deserves that life.

We all deserve basic dignity and respect, and the right to live our lives free of constant fear or persecution.

Ride for Refuge

Everyone is welcomed to join

The Ride for Refuge is a family friendly, non-competitive fundraiser in support of charities that provide support and refuge for people around the world who have been displaced, exploited or are otherwise vulnerable.

This year, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is participating in the Ride for Refuge with a goal of raising $20,000 to provide relief for one of the largest global refugee crises this world has ever experienced.

Show your support

The most immediate need in this kind of crisis is money. Money for food, water, shelter, medical supplies, transportation and more. Money to keep people alive and help them find home again.

You can help make that happen.

Donate to help the UNHCR reach their goal, or start a Ride for Refuge team of your own to help raise funds and save lives. The ride (or walk) will take place September 29th in 27 locations (so far) across Canada.
