no shortage of superb spas in Montreal

There is no shortage of superb spas in Montreal, but what’s incredible is that each one has something special. It may be a unique treatment or service, a particular ambiance, staff specialties and certifications, or something fun like outdoor baths.

What does Avie Spa Provide?

At Avie Spa, there are a few things that stand out.

1. The Hammam

The first is the Hammam, also called a Turkish bath. The idea behind the hammam is to purify and cleanse the body through perspiration. After a relaxing session in the hot, steamy, sauna-like hammam, your pores open up to release all the… gunk (sorry folks, it’s the most accurate word for what’s hiding in our pores!).

If you opt for the Oriental Avie Spa Ritual treatment, you will also get a full body treatment after relaxing in the hammam. The treatment includes cleansing with black soap, full body exfoliation, as well as a purifying mask and body hydration treatment with argan oil. Your whole body will feel as smooth as a baby’s you-know-what after this extremely thorough cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing treatment!

2. The Extreme

The second standout is the Extreme Makeover Package, which is a 7-hour, full day experience that includes a facial, body wrap, pressotherapy, personalized massage, pedicure and manicure, haircut and blowdry, professional makeup application, as well as access to the hammam.

This is the package to get before a special night out, or even just to treat yourself to something extra special. Don’t you deserve it? (Yes, you do.)

3. The Facials

Now, those two experiences are both awesome, but what Avie is most known for is their incredible range of professional facials, including microdermabrasion.

The aestheticians at Avie are not just versed in facial techniques, they are also incredibly knowledgeable about skin, muscle, circulatory and body type systems, which makes a critical difference if you’re hoping to get serious results from your facial.

Many women know how wonderful a facial can be in helping you put your best foot (or face) forward. But, gentlemen, don’t be shy! Your face is always out there, always bombarded by the extreme Montreal weather, and dealing with the toxins, dust and exhaust in our city air. A professional facial is an opportunity to relax, let go, let yourself be pampered, and truly benefit your skin.

Avie also provides Teen Facial services to address the havoc that hormonal fluctuations can have on an adolescent’s skin. If you are the parent of a teen, or know one you’d like to give a special gift to, an Avie Spa gift certificate is a great idea. After all, it’s hard to keep up with what kids are into, but great skin is always a winner. It forces them to take a break from their phones, too ;-)

4. The Total Package

Avie is also a full-service spa where you can treat yourself or someone else to a variety of relaxing and therapeutic treatments or beauty services. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is personalized to your needs, and the spa welcomes groups, so it’s a great choice for bachelorette (or bachelor!) parties, or any other time you want to get the gang together for something relaxing. Be sure to book in advance and you can all get pedicures together in Avie’s oh-so-incredible massage chairs.

Avie Spa is located in the Old Port near Place d’Armes metro station, and is attached to the SpringHill Suites Marriott hotel.

See you there for mani-pedis?

Are you ready to escape right within your city? Bon voyage!
