Local Farm Feature: Winter Activities

For years, Verger Labonté, located in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, has attracted tens of thousands of visitors in the Fall with apple and pumpkin picking activities, and above all, famous mystery games throughout corn mazes.

For the very first time this year, they have a mystery game on ice and our investigative game in the woods on snowshoes! They aim to offer a unique experience for people to enjoy during the winter months.

At the orchard, visitors can skate on a trail of more than 2 km amongst our dormant apple trees as well as through our forest area. Moreover, their skating trail offers the opportunity to complete our mystery “Guess Who” game on ice!

They are also offering an investigative game “Who Killed Rufus LoveJoy?” in our forest, on snowshoes. Visitors explore a village in London, taking note of different characters and locations, and must solve the riddle to find the culprit.

Visitors can end their day of activities by enjoying a rich hot chocolate and maple taffy by our campfire.

With Valentine’s Day, the month of February, and Spring Break fast approaching, and as some of you are looking for activities to enjoy Verger Labonté might be a great spot to checkout with family.

1. Skating Trail of 2km

Skate at your leisure alongside the orchard’s dormant apple trees, on a 2km trail. Take in the beauty of nature with this unique experience. A perfect way to spend time with family, for a first date, or enjoy an outing with friends!

2. “Guess Who” game on ice

Verger Labonté is famously known for their corn mazes in the Fall where visitors not only make their way through the maze, but must also solve a mystery along the way! For the very first time, they have taken that mystery game aspect and put it on ice! Skate through a breathtaking trail in the woods and enjoy a unique “Guess Who” game where visitors must find clues along the path to solve the mystery.

3. Investigative Game on Snowshoes

This activity is made for escape game fanatics! A similar concept to the games in the corn mazes, those up for the challenge must solve the mystery of who killed Rufus LoveJoy. Visitors explore a Londonian village on snowshoes in the forest, taking note of different characters and locations, and must solve the riddle to find the culprit.

4. Music, campfire, and more!

After enjoying a day filled with skating, snowshoeing, and mystery games, visitors can keep warm with a rich hot chocolate by a campfire with music. Moreover, you can enjoy a Canadian classic, maple taffy, and take in the ambiance. For a quick bite to eat, soups and sandwiches are also available.
