Montréal Cowork is truly the next phase of coworking spaces, going above and beyond a simple space to work.
A coworking space in Plateau-Mont-Royal
Warm, energizing space located in the heart of the Plateau!
This warm, energizing space located in the heart of the Plateau recently opened up (and filled) Phases 1 and 2 of their coworking space. They now have a waiting list for Phases 3 and 4, which are scheduled for April 2018.
What made this space so popular, so fast?
Like many coworking locations, they offer open workspaces, private offices and meeting rooms, but it’s not just the fully equipped work spaces or the opportunity to hang out with other entrepreneurs and bounce ideas off each other. It’s the sense of community and range of support services that make Montréal Cowork truly a springboard for businesses.
This place really is all about helping you and your business succeed.
It’s quite a mosaic.
Montréal Cowork opens its doors to start-ups, established entrepreneurs, local and international markets, self-employed professionals and entrepreneurs immigrating to North America whom they strive to help settle and be successful in Quebec. It’s quite a mosaic. In fact, that’s what inspired their mosaik style logo.
Partnering up with Immigration a la Carte
They have partnered with Immigration à la Carte to support newly landed entrepreneurs, and offer a range of critical services for all entrepreneurs including legal advice, funding programs, secretarial support, bookkeeping, coaching and so much more.
Communication here is key.
You don’t need to send an email for your ideas to be heard. Instead, use the communal chalkboard set aside for Q&A. Ask any question your business is facing and other members can post answers and ideas. Every Friday there is a wrap up where the best ideas are chosen to answer the questions.
Always Improving
Not far from the chalkboard, you’ll find a whiteboard. There you can write your improvement ideas for Montréal Cowork. You’ll find ideas like “play music in the bathroom”, “bring your pet day” and more. People really feel at home and are comfortable requesting things to make their environment even more homey, and the team is truly proactive about making people feel welcome and part of the community.
The setup
The public lounge offers free tea and coffee provided by nearby Momo’s café à emporter, and the cozy kitchen is perfect for storing your lunch. There are public phone rooms for taking calls in a closed space, a room specially set up for video conferences, a WAR room lined with wall-to-wall whiteboards and even a nap room should you need a quick rest before your next brainstorming session.
The Space
Members and non-members can rent one of the open space rooms for events of up to 175 people seated or 375 standing. The 5000 square foot terrace is also available for rent in the summer months.
Activities
Montréal Cowork also hosts activities for members such as yoga classes, networking events and even family events such as cinema on the roof.
Members are also invited to a 5 a 7 every Friday with drinks on the house. Incredible!
The Team
The team is down to earth and takes pride in creating a strong community with members truly feeling a sense of belonging. Montreal Tips interviewed some of the members. Here is what they had to say:
“I love it here. It feels good. I am productive. I used to go to libraries and coffee shops but then you have to limit yourself to the hours they are open. Here I can come in as a member at any time of the day 24/7. The location is great and I love the amenities.”
– Erwin Herrera
“It really increases my productivity to work outside of my home office. It feels great to see other faces. The location is great. I love the big windows. The people are very proactive here and make you feel good about being here. It’s very engaging. I feel like I am at home.”
Boris Iordanov
When we visited, the Founder, Francis Talbot, never stopped saying how amazing his team is and how they really work well together to keep bringing Montréal Cowork to the next level.
